Cavity Wall Insulation Removal initial survey 10/10

Mark Reed (Senior Surveyor) came to our property following a surveor’s report that we had damp in our study due to a moisture bridge through the cavity caused by the insulation fill. After several checks to the property, Mark confirmed that our property did not have any insulation material in the cavity and it was extremely clean for a 30 year old property. His investigation and report was very illuminating and helpful in trying to diagnose the source of the damp problem, as he was able to rule out and overturn the surveyors opinion.

Removal of Urea-formaldehyde foam insulation from back wall of house. 10/10

Matt came out to quote and spent 3/4 hour with us surveying the job and helpfully answering all our questions. James and Charlie arrived exactly on time and worked hard all day doing a very thorough and professional job of removing the foam insulation and rubble from the wall cavity and then reinstating the brickwork and mortar where it had been removed to provide access. Afterwards, they cleared away all the debris and washed down the patio leaving it cleaner than before they arrived and came back the following day to do some minor finishing off. We recommend Viridian to others.

Loft insulation revamp 10/10

Everything was superbly managed, from first contact to completion of the job. The job was carried out in the expected timescale, efficiently and effectively. All old loft insulation was removed and the loft cleaned up before fresh insulation being laid. The staff were experts in their field and made sure we were happy each step of the process. Cavity Wall Insulation Replacement 8.7/10

The two workers turned up punctually each day and worked effectively and efficiently in very cold conditions. They were polite and kept up informed as to what they were doing. Unfortunately, due to the weather, they were not able to wash down the side of the house (as the outside tap was frozen) so we will need to do that when the weather warms up. But overall, they have done a very good job and we are feeling the benefits of a warmer house.

Octopus Energy provided us with a list of approved local insulation providers and we found Viridian included on the list and also doing very well on Checkatrade. They responded very promptly and we were visited for a survey on our unusual 2/3 story house, built on a slope, which we accepted. The challenging work was completed over two days including a cavity clean and fill. I was initially concerned about the height of the house and ladders, however, the guys had all the safety gear, which they used and they all went away intact having done a grand job. So well done Viridian.

Utility roof insulation 10/10

Great team arrived when they said they would and carried out the insulation install via drilling holes in the walls. The job was completed quickly with no mess and the holes refilled. We noticed the difference in temperature in the utility room instantly and with the rising cost of gas we should definitely save money. If you need insulation work doing I can highly recommend these guys. You will not be disappointed. 10/10

Insulated our back room and installed a loft hatch. Also boarding our loft which has made it a great useable space. The lads that did the work were on time, checked parking, confiirmed everything before they started, really friendly, clean and courteous. Glad we went with them, they used wood supports which are much better than loft legs and much better value for money.

Having had a new combi boiler, the water tank in our loft was removed so we finally had access to a large area we couldn’t previously get to. We rang Viridian and a few days later Mark came to take a look. He was very professional and quoted a price we were happy with. The work was carried out 2 days later as they had a cancellation. Barney and Ben did an excellent job which we are over the moon with. They were polite, lovely to have around, did a first rate job, showing us every stage and left everywhere clean and tidy. I called Viridian and enquired about adding insulation to my house which only had 100mm. The phone in the office were polite and friendly and arranged for one of their surveyors to visit (same day no less) and check what would be required. We had Mark visit who was very knowledgable friendly and professional. We needed a 200m top up and arranged for this to be done. Luckily there was a slot the next week (today) and after some simple paperwork and deposit we were booked in, today at 8 Ben and another team member arrived and did the install, they were super careful tidy and professional. 5*job

Loft and eaves insulation plus some boarding 10/10

Jamie and Sonny arrived on time on a very hot day and were quick to get on with the job. They put down dust covers on the carpets and were careful not to mark any walls or the ceiling- I had painted the room recently and did not relish the thought of having to get pots and brushes out again too soon. They were quiet and very respectful of my home, got on with the job and finished much sooner than I thought they would.They offered to vacuum the carpets but as that job was already on my to do list I was happy to do it after they left. Altogether an excellent job, I highly recommend Viridian.

The cavity insulation in our extension was completed efficiently and they hosed down the brick dust from the holes. The initial survey by Mark was very helpful and reassuring.

We have received a very professional service for the removal of old loft insulation and fitting of new insulation with raised boarding. Wire mesh was also fitted to all cavity openings into the loft to stop vermin. I’d score them 1 million, but I don’t think it allowed lol AMAZING! all of it! Since September 2023 I have tried to get my walls insulated. 4 companies told me to wait. This guys I have emailed on Fri 02.02.24; engineer came to see my house on 05.02; had it all done on Friday 09.02 (today). You can’t get it quicker if you tried. Everyone was punctual, professional, clean and very tidy. Work been curried out by 2 young very polite gentleman. 1 small part of wall I have asked them to do from inside of my kitchen. They left it all very clean. My house is clean and warm! I am very pleased.

Cavity Wall Insulation Replacement 9.8/10

The team that did the work were very polite, did a good day’s work and left the place clean and tidy every afternoon before they left. They were painstaking in removing the old insulation before pumping the new material in and did an excellent job of making good the holes they had to drill. The only reason I didn’t score them a 10 for quality was that they accidentally damaged a cable running through the wall. Having said that, they were very apologetic and Viridian paid for the repair in full with no argument. I’d certainly use them again if needed.

I can highly recommend Viridian. The surveyor explained the works necessary in a concise and understandable manner. He was able to illustrate the points he was making by showing me live internal camera footage. The employees who came to clean the cavity and drill the holes were professional and courteous and again explained the work they would be doing that day. They explained that there would be noise and mess but that they would clear up after themselves. I received the same level of service from the employees who filled the cavity. The insulation has made a huge difference to our home.

I had a bad experience with a company that quoted for foam insulation, so I was extremely wary. Hence the reason I then went through Checkatrade. However, the surveyor from VES was kind and professional. No pressurised sales techniques. I received a quote for traditional insulation material which was in the area I had been told such a job should cost. A date was set. Three chaps arrived on time and carried out the work, clearing up as they went. They were friendly, but professional. I would recommend this company.

The guys did a great job clearing the rubbish left by previous owners. They also straightened out the existing insulation which had been left untidy by previous workmen. They then laid new insulation over the integral garage. The company is very professional and the job was completed in a clean and tidy manner. Would definitely recommend.
